Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the storage services provided by GetBox sh.p.k. (“GetBox”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By booking our services or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@getbox.al before placing an order.

GetBox sh.p.k. is a limited liability company registered in Albania, offering managed personal and small-business storage in Tirana.

2. The service we provide
We offer fully managed storage. The standard service includes:
- Collecting your items from an address within our service area in Tirana
- Packing, wrapping, and transporting them to our facility
- Storing them in a secure, dry, monitored facility in Kashar, Tirana
- Delivering any item back to you on request, with 24–48 hours notice
We may decline to collect items that are unsafe, illegal, or unsuitable for storage (see Section 7).
3. Booking and confirmation
You can request a booking through WhatsApp, telephone, email, or our website. A booking is binding only when we confirm it in writing (including by WhatsApp message). A confirmation will identify:
- The plan (Box, Room, or Custom bundle) and estimated volume
- The agreed monthly price and any one-off fees
- Scheduled date and address for pickup
You must give us accurate information. If the actual volume of items materially exceeds the booked plan, we may adjust the price after confirming with you at pickup.
4. Prices, payment, and taxes
Prices are quoted in euros (EUR) and the equivalent in Albanian Lekë (ALL) at the rate published on our website. All consumer prices include applicable Albanian VAT unless otherwise stated.
Storage is billed monthly in advance, starting on the date your items arrive at our facility. Pickup and delivery within our standard Tirana service area are included in the monthly price.
Accepted methods of payment will be confirmed at booking. We may suspend further deliveries if monthly fees are more than seven (7) days overdue, after notifying you in writing.
5. Minimum term, cancellation, and end of service
The minimum storage period is one (1) calendar month from the date your items arrive at our facility.
After the minimum period, you may cancel at any time. We ask for thirty (30) days notice before the scheduled delivery date so we can plan logistics.
On cancellation, we will deliver your items back to your address within thirty (30) days of your request, on a mutually agreed date.
If you do not collect or arrange delivery for your items within ninety (90) days of an unpaid invoice (and after at least two written reminders), we reserve the right to dispose of unclaimed items in accordance with Albanian law on warehoused goods.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer and you book remotely (online, by phone, by WhatsApp), you have the right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen (14) days, without giving any reason, in line with EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights and equivalent Albanian provisions.
The withdrawal period expires fourteen (14) days after the day on which the contract was concluded. To exercise the right, send an unambiguous statement (for example by email to hello@getbox.al) before the period expires.
If you have expressly asked us to begin the service during the withdrawal period and then withdraw, you must pay us an amount proportional to the service performed before you informed us of the withdrawal.
We will refund any amounts received from you (less any proportional service fee, where applicable) within fourteen (14) days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used.
7. Items you cannot store
You must not deposit any of the following:
- Cash, jewelry, watches, or precious metals and stones
- Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Illegal substances or stolen property
- Flammable, toxic, corrosive, or radioactive materials
- Perishable food, plants, or live animals
- Items requiring climate-controlled or refrigerated storage (unless specifically agreed)
- Any item whose possession or storage is prohibited by Albanian law
We may refuse pickup or remove from storage any item we reasonably believe to fall in these categories. We accept no liability for loss of, or damage caused by, items deposited in breach of this section.
8. Liability and insurance
We handle your items with professional care. Our standard liability for direct loss of or damage to your stored items is limited to [EUR amount, e.g. 1 000] per pickup, unless you take out optional extended insurance through us at the time of booking.
Optional extended insurance is available at additional cost. Insurance covers loss, theft, fire, water damage, and natural events as specified in the insurance policy document we provide on request.
We are not liable for:
- Damage caused by inadequate packing provided by you, or by hidden defects in the items themselves
- Indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or sentimental value
- Events of force majeure (Section 10)
- Loss of items you did not declare to us at pickup
Claims must be made in writing to hello@getbox.al within seven (7) days of delivery, with reasonable supporting evidence (photos, receipts).
9. Your responsibilities
By booking, you confirm that:
- The items are lawfully yours, or you have the authority of the owner to store them
- The items are accurately described and do not fall in the prohibited list
- You will be present (or a nominated adult) at the agreed pickup/delivery address
- The pickup and delivery locations are reasonably accessible to our vehicle and team
10. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays in or failure of performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, fire, flood, pandemic, or general failure of public utilities or transport networks.
11. Privacy
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy. We process data on the legal bases set out in that policy and apply technical and organizational measures to keep it secure.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at /terms with the latest update date. We will notify active customers of material changes at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. Continued use of our service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules under EU law that may apply to consumers residing in the EU.
Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tirana, Albania. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
